Built for real answers

We believe everyone deserves to understand their internet connection — not just see random numbers.

Our mission

SpeedPulse was built out of frustration with speed tests that show inflated, unreliable numbers. We use real HTTP fetch timing against Cloudflare's global infrastructure — the same network powering millions of websites — so your results are meaningful, not marketing.

Everything runs in your browser. No accounts, no apps, no data collection. Just honest diagnostics.

Common questions

SpeedPulse uses real HTTP downloads and uploads against Cloudflare's CDN to calculate throughput. Results are comparable to industry tools — though your browser security sandbox adds a small overhead. For the most accurate reading, run the test a few times and check the average.

SpeedPulse works in any modern browser on any device — desktop, tablet, or phone. Mobile apps for Android and iOS are available on our Apps page.

Yes, completely free. The web version has no paywalls or limits. The mobile apps offer optional premium features like scheduled tests and alerts.

Start by restarting your router. Then try connecting via Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi — this alone can double your speed. Reduce the number of devices on your network during a test. If speeds are consistently below your plan's advertised rate, contact your ISP with your SpeedPulse results as evidence.

No. Your IP address and speed results are never sent to our servers. Test history is stored only in your browser's local storage and can be cleared at any time.

Download speed is how fast data comes to your device — this affects streaming, browsing, and downloads. Upload speed is how fast you send data — important for video calls, cloud backups, and sharing files. Most home connections have much faster download than upload.
